Traffic Info – Mattoni Running Festival Olomouc 2026

Dear Residents of Olomouc,

On Saturday, 13 June 2026, our city will once again become a centre of running excitement as the 16th edition of the Mattoni Olomouc Half Marathon takes place. Once again, the race will form part of the wider Mattoni Running Festival Olomouc, which also includes the Šantovka 5K Run and the dm Family Mile. The festival is held under the patronage of the Mayor of the Statutory City of Olomouc and the Governor of the Olomouc Region. The Mattoni Olomouc Half Marathon has traditionally brought a unique sporting atmosphere to our city. At the same time, we recognize that the event is accompanied by temporary traffic restrictions in certain areas of Olomouc. If you are not among the runners or spectators, or if you are not taking part in this year’s event, we would like to apologize for any inconvenience that may arise during the festival. We greatly appreciate your patience, understanding, and consideration. It is thanks to your support that Olomouc is able to host this important sporting event. TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS ARE IN EFFECT ON SATURDAY, 13 JUNE 2026, WITH SOME RESTRICTIONS APPLYING FROM FRIDAY, 12 JUNE.

All traffic restrictions apply to the Mattoni Running Festival Olomouc, which includes the following races: the Mattoni Olomouc Half Marathon, the dm Family Mile, and the Šantovka 5K Run.

ATTENTION! No stopping is permitted along the routes of all races throughout the entire day, i.e. from 00:01 on Saturday, 13 June.

Please note that the no-stopping restriction applies along the entire routes of all races.

We kindly ask you to move your vehicle well in advance to avoid any inconvenience, including the possibility of your vehicle being towed.

FULL ROAD CLOSURE – NO VEHICLE ACCESS OR EXIT WILL BE POSSIBLE

The times listed below are approximate. The organizer will make every effort to adhere to the schedule and to reopen the affected roads for city residents as quickly as possible.

  • Šantovka 5K Run: Palackého, Pöttingova, Hynaisova and Studentská, including the roundabout Approx. 15:15 – approx. 15:45
  • Dobrovského and the affected section of Komenského and Husova Approx. 15:20 – approx. 15:55
  • 17. Listopadu (between Žižkovo nám. and tř. Kosmonautů) 14:45 – 16:30
  • 17. Listopadu (between tř. Kosmonautů and tř. Svobody) 15:30 – 16:20
  • tř. Svobody – right-hand traffic lane in the direction of the race (one half of the roadway)

ACCESS AND EXIT OPTIONS FOR RESTRICTED AREAS (see Map 1)

  • 1 Area of tř. Spojenců, Kollárovo nám. – Traffic restrictions from 18:00 to 22:30. Vehicle access to and exit from this area will not be possible between 18:00 and 22:30. After that, exit will be possible via Bezručova – tř. Svobody – 17. listopadu / Havlíčkova.
  • 2 Area of Kavaleristů, Na Bystřičce, Křižíkova, Zeyerova, Nezvalova, Březinova, U Soutoku, Šmeralova, Blahoslavova, Jiřího z Poděbrad, U Reálky – Vehicle access to and exit from this area will not be possible from 18:00 to 22:30. Crossings of the race route will be permitted until 18:30 and again from 22:00 via Zeyerova, Hálkova and Vejdovského.
  • 3 Area of Kašparova, Václavkova, Wellnerova, Brožíkova, Lolkova – Exit from the area will be possible throughout the race via Hynaisova, Wellnerova, Palackého and Litovelská.
  • 4 Area of Lazce – Traffic restrictions from 18:00 to 22:00. Vehicle access to and exit from this area will be possible outside the period 18:00–21:45 via Lazecká in the direction of Chomoutov. From 22:00 onwards, access and exit will be possible via Studentská – Na Střelnici / Dobrovského.
  • 5 Area of Hejčín – Dolní Hejčínská, Štolbova, Mrštíkovo nám., U Mlýnského potoka – Vehicle access to and exit from this area will not be possible from 18:00 to 21:45.
  • 6 Area of Černovír, Klášterní Hradisko – Vehicle access to and exit from this area will not be possible from 18:00 until approximately 20:15. After approximately 20:15, exit will be possible via Jablonského in the direction of Sokolovská.
  • 7 Area of Koželužská, Sokolská, Hanáckého pluku, Zámečnická, Slovenská, U Hradeb – Vehicle access to and exit from this area will not be possible from 18:00 to 22:30. After that, exit will be possible via Sokolská – Legionářská – Hynaisova. Velkomoravská – Foerstrova will remain open to traffic throughout the event. tř. Kosmonautů will remain open as a one-way road from Šantovka towards the railway station.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT SERVICE DISRUPTIONS

Before the Half Marathon, all existing public transport (MHD) services will operate on their regular routes and according to the valid timetables until approximately 18:00. After that time, selected routes will either terminate earlier than usual or be diverted. Additional replacement transport services will also be introduced.

Information about these service changes will be displayed at public transport stops. During the 5K Run, public transport operations will be affected only to a minimal extent.
