The Mattoni Running Festival České Budějovice is over!
Congratulations to all runners, volunteers, and fans on completing the race, and thank you for the amazing atmosphere you all created together. See you at the Mattoni Running Festival Olomouc on 13 June 2026!
The results will be available on our website approximately one hour after the last runner finishes.All runners became part of the RunCzech Halfs project. You can find more information about this serie on our website.
The Czech winners have been decided as well! Patrik Vebr was comfortably the fastest, taking first place. Matěj Hřebačka finished second, while Maximilian Matolín claimed third place.
The podium places have been decided! Jorge Blanco crossed the finish line first with a time of 1:03:37.
Mykola Mevsha moved up to take second place, while Aziz Boukebal secured the bronze medal position.
At the 15 km mark, she has clocked 50:07 and already holds a lead of more than a minute over Wilson.
Nyzhnyk, running in third place, is another minute behind. However, Michaela Čepová is closing the gap on her. Will she manage to catch her?
The winners of the race will receive special trophies made by the Czech glassworks Ajeto.
Jorge Blanco has reached the 15 km mark in 45:01 and is on pace for a 1:03:19 finish.
Boukebal trails by 7 seconds, while Mevsha is 19 seconds behind. Espinosa and Choukoud are now almost a minute back.
Patrik Vebr is on his way to claiming the Czech men’s title. He passed the 10 km mark in 31:04.
In second place is Matěj Hřebačka, 38 seconds behind. The battle for bronze, however, is still wide open! Matolín, Homoláč, and Vaš are all tied with the same time of 32:22.
Record of the race
Tereza Hrochová is on track to finish in under 1:10, which would set an outright race record!
She has gone through 10 km in 33:05. The runner in second place, Natasha Wilson, is about 40 seconds behind.
The fastest Czech, Patrik Vebr, is currently in 8th place with a time of 31:04 and is on pace to beat the Czech race record by almost a full minute!
With 10 km already in their legs, the European race record is under threat! Blanco and Boukebal are out in front with an excellent time of 29:57, while Mevsha sits in third place at 30:05.
A new feature of this year’s event is the Running Doctors project, where doctors run the course alongside runners so they can provide immediate assistance if needed.

The race holds the World Athletics Label.
We are approaching a quarter of the race and we have six runners in the lead.
The 5 km mark was crossed in just over 15 minutes. Among the women, it looks like a dramatic duel between Hrochová and Wilson.
The race is celebrating its 14th year this year. It was first held in 2012.
At the start line, 4,900 runners gathered and set off onto the České Budějovice course to the sound of Smetana’s Vltava.
The largest number of foreign runners came from Slovakia, Austria, Germany, Ukraine, and the USA. The race features participants from 61 nationalities.
The oldest runner at the Mattoni Half Marathon České Budějovice is 78 years old, and the oldest female runner is 74 years old. Both are from the United Kingdom.
The Mattoni Half Marathon České Budějovice is the first race of the EuroHeroes project in 2026.
The Mattoni 1/2 Marathon České Budějovice starts in one hour!

Runners of Vodafone 5K Run are already in the street in České Budějovice.
At the Vodafone 5K Run in České Budějovice, a total of 1,100 runners are taking part, with approximately 39% men and 61% women, representing participants from 26 different nationalities.
At the Vodafone 5K Run in České Budějovice, the most common names among participants are Martin and Tereza.
The oldest registered participant is a 74-year-old man from the USA at the Vodafone 5K Run in České Budějovice.

Vodafone Foundation
The main foundation of the race is the Vodafone Foundation, which at the Mattoni 1/2 Marathon České Budějovice supports the further development of the Záchranka app. In emergency situations, the app allows people to quickly call for help with a single button and contact emergency services directly from their mobile phone. Thanks to it, you can get help quickly during sports, travel, and everyday situations where health or life may be at risk.
On race day, it is Ferdinand’s name day and 14 participants who are running with us are celebrating their birthdays. We wish them all the very best!
Mattoni Music Festival
Part of the Mattoni Running Festival in České Budějovice is also the Mattoni Music Festival, featuring locations with live and recorded music. In the city centre at Náměstí Přemysla Otakara II. and along the half marathon course, you can enjoy live performances, DJ sets, and cheering points throughout the day. Refreshment Options for Runners Along the Course
Along the half marathon course, there will be 6 refreshment and cooling stations, with an additional one at the finish line. Starting from the 5th kilometer, runners will find refreshment stations approximately every 2.5 km.For the 5 km run, there will be a cooling station halfway through the distance and another at the finish. Participants in the Family Mile will receive water at the finish line.
Each station will provide Mattoni water for runners. Refreshment stations will also offer Gatorade ionic drinks, bananas and oranges. All stations will be connected to a hydrant, and runners can cool off under water misting systems at each stop. At the corner of Karla IV Street and Senovážné Square, there will be one sprinkler truck serving all races – it will cool runners during the 5 km run (once), the family mile (once), and the Half Marathon (three times).
Drink regularly in small amounts at every aid station and keep a sensible pace throughout the race.
SOS by dm booth
At the Mattoni Running Festival České Budějovice, you will find the SOS by dm booth, where you can take a break before the race or during the day, recharge, and if needed, use essential items you may have forgotten at home, such as light snacks, plasters and kinesiology tape, hair ties, SPF creams, deodorant, or menstrual products. There will also be a changing station and a private nursing area available. The booth is located in the partners’ village.
We’re having a beautiful, yet also very warm day.
In case of hot weather, in addition to consistently staying hydrated, we recommend that both runners and visitors choose light, breathable clothing for the race, protect themselves from the sun with a hat or head covering, and stay in the shade as much as possible during the day. Drink regularly even if you’re not feeling thirsty to prevent potential dehydration. There will be plenty of water available for runners at refreshment stations and at the finish line. In addition to providing hydration, runners will be cooled along the course by sprinkler trucks and misting stations.

Race number pick up
Race numbers can be picked up at the Expo for the 5 km run until 14:00, for the dm family mile until 16:00, and for the Mattoni Half Marathon České Budějovice until 17:00. The Expo is located at the new venue at Výstaviště, Pavilion H, Husova tř. 523, České Budějovice. We recommend arriving with enough time in advance, as the Expo and the start area are approximately a 25-minute walk apart. On race day, all runners with a race bib can use public transport free of charge.

Come and enjoy the unique race atmosphere at the partner square on the main square in České Budějovice, where you can enjoy partner activations, refreshments, and the Mattoni photo booth. The race can also be watched live on a large screen in the square.
