dm family mile in České Budějovice
At 5:00 PM today, the dm family mile kicked off, and the streets of České Budějovice filled with runners of all generations. Children, parents, and grandparents set off on the course together with smiles and good spirits – and now they’ve all successfully reached the finish line!

Refreshment Options for Runners Along the Course
Along the half marathon route, there will be 6 refreshment and cooling stations, with an additional station at the finish line. Starting from the 5th kilometer, runners will find a refreshment point approximately every 2.5 km. For the 5 km race, there is one refreshment station located at the halfway point and another at the finish. Participants in the Family Mile will receive water at the finish line.
At each station, Mattoni water will be available for runners. Refreshment stations will also offer Vilgain isotonic drinks, bananas, oranges, salt, and sugar. All stations will be connected to hydrants, and runners can cool down under water misters at each stop.
A sprinkler truck will be stationed at the corner of Karla IV Street and Senovážné Square, serving all races—this spot will be passed once during the 5 km run, once during the Family Mile, and three times during the Half Marathon.
We will enjoy a beautiful, but also warm day.
In case of hot weather, in addition to staying properly hydrated, we recommend that both runners and visitors wear light, breathable clothing for the race, protect themselves from the sun with a hat or other head covering, and spend as much time in the shade as possible during the day. Be sure to drink fluids throughout the day, even if you don’t feel thirsty, to prevent potential dehydration. There will be plenty of water available for runners at refreshment stations and at the finish line. In addition to hydration, runners will be cooled along the course by sprinklers and misting stations.

Race bibs can be picked up until 2:00 PM for the 10 km run, until 4:00 PM for the dm family mile, and until 5:00 PM for the main race.
