Birell Prague Grand Prix 2026 is behind us!

Among the Czech women, Tereza Hrochová remained undefeated to finish in first place.
Michaela Čepová secured second place among the local competitors, and Bára Stýblová rounded out the Czech podium in third place.
In the men’s field
Damián Vích finished as the top Czech runner, ahead of Tomáš Křivda in second place and Patrik Vebr, who sealed the third spot on the domestic podium.
In the women’s category, a trio of runners dominated the race.
Dida Diriba Chaltu ran to victory, second place was claimed by her sister Dida Diriba Robe, and Chelangat Chepkwony Cynthia took third place on the podium.
The head of the race finished with a trio of distance runners.
First place was claimed by Rodrigue Kwizera, Korir Kapkama Owen crossed the finish line in second, and Kipruto Kiprono Victor rounded out the podium in third place.
The race winners will receive special trophies from the Czech glassworks Ajeto.
The race holds the World Athletics Label.
The best Czech racer is Damian Vích ahead of Tomáš Křivda!
We have a winner! A huge mistake!!!! The leader took the wrong turn, handing the victory to Rodrigue Kwizera!
Purity Kajuju Gitonga is on track for a new course record! She is aiming for a time of 29:20.
The women have also passed the 5 km mark, and the battle for the win will be between leaders Purity Kajuju and Clare Ndiwa.
We’re halfway through the race, and the men’s field at the front is incredibly tight!
Kiprop is currently in first place, with another ten runners close behind.
Runners have just set off from Náměstí Republiky into the evening streets of Prague to the sound of Smetana’s Vltava.
We have two runners named Boris at the start, who are celebrating their name day today. 36 runners are celebrating their birthdays today.

Line up at the start of the Birell 10K Night Race Prague
Elite athletes Damián Vích, Patrik Vebr, Bára Stýblová and Tereza Hrochová will line up at the start of the Birell 10K. Our 10K number one, Rodrigue KWIZERA, will also compete, now representing Spain.
Refreshment Options for Runners Along the Course
Along the race route, you will find 1 refreshment station and 2 hydration stations. All stations will be stocked with bottled Mattoni water. At the 5.5 km mark, the refreshment station will also offer Gatorade isotonic drink, bananas, oranges, salt and sugar. After crossing the finish line, every runner will receive a 0.75 l bottle of Mattoni Sport. At the finish-line refreshment station, water and isotonic drink will also be available in cups.

Runners from 89 nationalities are taking part in the race, with the highest number of international participants coming from Slovakia, Great Britain, Germany and Austria.
This year marks the 29th edition of the Birell Prague 10K Evening Run and the 26th edition of the adidas Women’s 5K Run Prague, with a record 13,000 runners taking part.

On Friday, at 17:00, a meet-and-greet with the elite athletes of the Birell Evening 10K Run Prague will take place at Running Mall. Come and ask anything you’re curious about.

Join us on Friday from 17:00 for a Meet & Greet with elite athletes Damián Vích, Patrik Vebr and Bára Stýblová. From 17:30, we’ll follow up with a Shake-out Run with Eva Vrabcová Nývltová and the elite athletes.

The official charity partner of the adidas Women’s 5K Run Prague is the Pink Bubble Foundation, which supports children and young people with cancer. The official charity partner of the Birell 10K Night Race Prague is Cesta za snem, which uses sport and physical activity to bring people with and without disabilities together and supports children and seniors with disabilities.

Picking up starting numbers
You can already pick up your race bib at the Running Mall in Letná. Race bib collection has been available since Monday and will continue until Saturday.
For both the Birell 10K Night Race Prague and the adidas 5K, race bib collection is available at the following times:
Wed: 12:30–19:00
Thu: 10:00–19:00
Fri: 7:00–21:00
On Saturday, race bib collection is available from 7:00–17:00 for the Birell 10K and from 7:00–15:30 for the adidas 5K.
We recommend collecting your race bib in advance and not leaving it until the last minute. This will help you avoid possible queues and ensure you have everything ready before race day.
