START / 0 KM: Náměstí Republiky – Revoluční

• Municipal House: Prague’s finest Art Nouveau landmark and the historic site where independent Czechoslovakia was declared in 1918.
• Powder Gate Tower: A 15th-century Gothic tower that originally served as one of the main gates into the Old Town.

2 KM: Into Karlín

• Negrelli Viaduct: Right after exiting the Těšnov Tunnel into Karlín, the route passes beneath the Negrelli Viaduct. It is the oldest railway bridge in Prague and the second-oldest bridge across the Vltava River (after Charles Bridge). It recently underwent a stunning restoration.
• River City Architecture (Danube House, Nile House, Amazon Court): Along Rohanské nábřeží, you’ll run past these award-winning modern office buildings, which form Karlín’s signature glass-and-steel waterfront skyline.

3 KM: Rohanské Nábřeží & Turnaround Point

• Lilith Sculpture (Fragment Building): The defining landmark at the turnaround point is the Lilith sculpture by David Černý – a 24-meter-tall polished steel figure that symbolically holds up the new Fragment building. Local legend has it that after midnight, her head mysteriously rotates 180 degrees.

4–5 KM: Rohanské Nábřeží (Heading Back)

• The Transformation of Karlín & Rohan Island: As you head back along the riverfront, take in how dramatically Karlín has evolved since the devastating 2002 floods. Rohan Island (once a real island on the Vltava) is now a modern waterfront seamlessly blending traces of its industrial heritage with bold new architecture.

6 KM: Returning to Těšnov Tunnel

• Negrelli Viaduct: You’ll pass beneath this historic viaduct once more just before plunging back into the Těšnov Tunnel toward the city center.

7 KM: Dvořákovo Nábřeží

• St. Agnes Convent: Just before the course veers closer to the river, look to your left to spot St. Agnes Convent – one of Prague’s oldest and most significant Gothic structures (now home to the National Gallery).
• Na Františku Hospital: Situated right next to the convent on the right bank of the Vltava. In continuous operation since 1354, it is one of the oldest functioning hospitals in Europe.

7–8 KM: Crossing the River

• Čech Bridge: Prague’s only Art Nouveau bridge, opened in 1908. Lavishly decorated with ornate bronze sculptures and details, it ranks among the city’s most picturesque bridges.

8 KM: Edvarda Beneše Embankment (Left Bank)

• Straka Academy (Office of the Government of the Czech Republic): After crossing Čech Bridge and taking a left at the 8 km mark, you’ll run right past this massive Neo-Baroque complex and its gardens, which house the Czech government.
• Prague Castle (in the distance): The largest ancient castle complex in the world and the official seat of the President. It dominates the skyline high above the river.
• Letná Park & The Metronome: A beloved park perched on the hill right above you. Its most striking feature is the giant Metronome – a modern symbol of the relentless passage of time.
• Holešovice: Looking back across the river and the slope of Letná, you’ll glimpse the edge of this former industrial hub, now transformed into a vibrant neighborhood packed with modern art and culture.

9 KM: Štefánik Bridge

• Štefánik Bridge: The route cuts back over to the right bank via the bridge named after Milan Rastislav Štefánik, opening up one of the best postcard views of the Old Town skyline over the Vltava River.

10 KM / FINISH: Náměstí Republiky

• The Final Stretch: Head down the home stretch back to Náměstí Republiky, crossing the finish line right where you started by the historic Powder Tower and Municipal House.
