General Information

Health information and rules

Please train properly, get in touch with your trainer and general practitioner or a sport doctor. If you do not feel well or suffer from the injury, please consider to take part in the race. You take part on your own risk.

Please fill in the health information on the back side of your start number and a contact person in case emergency. 

Allocation of start number

Approximately 1-2 weeks before the race, you will be assigned a starting number, which you will receive by email.

After being assigned, you can also check your bib number in your runner ID under the ‘Your Races’ section, and then go to the specific race where you will find your bib number next to your name.

Confirmation for start number pick up

When picking up the start number, you will be asked to present a document for identity verification, an ID or similar document with your name and photo is sufficient to prove your identity. The race number can be collected on behalf of an authorized power of attorney or by authorizing another person to collect online via Runners ID. You can find the detailed instructions for authorizing someone to collect your bib number on this page: Authorization to start number collection.

It will be possible to authorize another person to pick up your starting number online until the opening hours of the Marathon Expo.

Information for the 2RUN category

The first member starts together with the other categories of the International Prague Marathon 2025. No relay pin will be used for handover. Each runner must pick up their starting number themselves or use a pick-up authorization.

First member of the 2Run relay team

  • Sorting at the start according to the “group” marking on the starting number (corridor D).
  • At the 21st km handover, both relay team members must run together in a designated area and “pass” the relay. If they are not in the designated area, the chips may not be paired correctly. The first member receives refreshments and a medal, and may not continue the race, otherwise the team risks disqualification.

Second member of the 2Run relay team

  • It is necessary to “pass” the relay in a designated area.
  • The second member of the relay team continues to the finish line, where they receive a medal and refreshments.

Before the race

Picking up your starting number

The starting number can be picked up during the opening hours of the Maraton Expo.

General rules

It is strictly forbidden to use any means of transport during the race, or to go on the course with a child’s pram, run with dogs or carry children.

Chip and timekeeping

Your start number must be fixed visibly on your chest. 

Safety-pins will be included in the envelope containing your start number.

Timekeeping will be tracked through chips, which are attached to the back of the start number, and which must not be removed at any time during the race. NO CHIP = NO TIME! The chip is disposable and is not returned after the race.

Time limit

The limit for reaching the finish line is 7 hours from the start of the race (start signal by the starter). The time limit is indicated for each kilometer on the race map. Runners after this time must, for safety reasons, leave the track on the instructions of the organizer and end their participation in the race.

Runners code
  1. Go for a sports-health check-up before the race.
  2. Before the race, we recommend a preventive sports health check-up.
  3. In the race, maintain your running pace from the start.
  4. Keep an eye on the weather forecast and dress as if the temperature were 5 °C higher. You can put on an old coat or t-shirt at the start. All clothing left in the start lanes will go to the needy.
  5. Fix your start number to a visible place on your chest and complete the details required on the reverse side. This will make it easier to provide health assistance if necessary.
  6. Use the designated toilet areas.
  7. Adhere to the instructions of the organisers.
  8. Make sure you look around you before throwing away your cup, spitting or blowing your nose.
  9. If you can’t go on any more, first cross to the edge of the course before stopping. This will prevent collisions and unexpected encounters.
  10. The refreshment stations are many metres long. Use the whole length of the space and don’t stop right at the first table.
  11. You can run with headphones if you want, but many bands and music points are located along the course so it would be a pity to miss them.
  12. Share your joy about completing the run with your fans only after you’ve crossed the finish line.
  13. Everyone’s a winner. Enjoy the run and the happiness regardless of the time.
Health status

Take part in the race only in excellent health and after adequate preparation. We recommend that you undergo a specialist check-up and pay close attention to your current state of health.

How to get to the start?

START/FINISH – The start will take place at the Old Town Square at 8:00 a.m. You can find the exact transport connections on the website of the Prague City Transport Company.

Start corridor

The division into corridors is determined by the expected time in registration and the timeliness of your registration. Your corridor is according to “Group” on your start number. Available only for runners with the start number.

Refreshment points and Refreshing points

There will be several stations on the track. Please, throw all the waste in the marked places and directly into containers. This ensures efficient recycling.

Drop zone

Zones for throwing cups from refreshment stations will be specially marked on the track. Please respect these zones for cups and dispose of other packaging (e.g. energy gels, pet bottles, etc.) only in these zones. It is strictly forbidden to throw packaging outside the marked zones.

Pacers

The pacers are visibly marked with the times 3:15 | 3:30 | 3:45 | 4:00 | 4:15 | 4:30 | 5:00. You can find them in the individual corridors.

Technical area – service for runners

Changing rooms, a storage room, toilets – you can find all this in the technical facilities. Entry is only possible for participants with a starting number and will be controlled.

Bag deposit

Opening / Closing time: will be published later, thank you for your understanding.

Located in the technical area. Hand over your belongings to a volunteer standing at the appropriate box corresponding to the last two digits of your bib number. Maximum accepted size of bags 25×45×70 cm. Larger luggage cannot be accepted for capacity and safety reasons.

Medal engraving

Closing time: will be published later, thank you for your understanding.

After the race, medal engraving will be available, where you can have your finishing time engraved.

Medical Service

Will be available at the start, the finish, in the technical area and along the course. If you need to call an ambulance, ask a volunteer or call the emergency services on number 155 and tell them your start number.

If you are not feeling well or have recently been ill it’s best to not take part in the race. You are entering the race at your own risk. 

Along the course there will be several medical points and ambulance points. Also, there will be mobile bike groups with AED.

On the back of your number fill in all important information about your state of health for the case of medical assistance.

Toilets

Toilets are available at each refreshment station, in the technical facilities and in the start and finish areas.

How to get to the technical area after finish?

Changing rooms, a storage room, toilets – you can find all this in the technical facilities. Entry is only possible for participants with a starting number and will be controlled.

Finish

At the finish line, each participant will receive a medal and a small snack. We ask that you continue smoothly into the corridor after the finish line and not prevent other competitors from completing the race.


After the race

Result service

Results will be published after the race as soon as possible. The ranking is done according to the official time which is counted from the start of the race. You can contact us (form for season 2026 will be published later, thank you for understanding) if there is a mistake in your result within 5 working days after the race. Don’t forget to provide the name of the race, your start number and as many details as possible. Results can be also added on the bottom of the result page in PDF.

In the team race the official result of all team members is added up. Please follow the instructions of the organizers and volunteers! Thank you.

Finishers photos

Photos will be provided by witisi.photo. Photos can be pre-ordered during race registration or order after race on the photo.runczech.com or witisi.photo website. Thank you for your understanding.

Anyone who pre-orders photos during registration will receive a link to the finished photos by email after the event.

dm family mile

What is the dm family mile?

The dm family mile is a race primarily intended for families with children. A mile is a competitive athletic distance of 1.6 kilometers. However, the dm family mile itself is a non-competitive run, divided into several categories based on pace.

Registration for the dm family mile

Anyone can sign up, even without a Runners ID – that means you don’t need to have a profile with all your details set up.

Without proper registration and a race number, participation in the race is not possible.

Technical Area

Due to capacity limitations, technical facilities and a baggage storage area are not available for participants of the dm family mile and dm bambini run.

You can pick up your race number at the Marathon Expo, where race numbers for competitive runs are distributed. It’s not necessary for each participant to come in person – one parent can pick up the numbers for the whole family. You will be asked to present an ID card or another form of identification. To collect numbers for other runners, it’s enough to provide their names or the order number.

Along with your race number, you will also receive a starter pack.

Starting corridors dm family mile

The exact start and finish locations will be published later. Thank you for your understanding.

The start is in waves, with the first ones to start are the children themselves, who dare to run without their parents. Then the whole families start at a faster pace, followed by the slower runners. The last ones to start are the runners who are more likely to walk the route, families with strollers, small children on balance bikes, etc.

The division is for the safety of all runners, and for the best experience for children, who can really compete and give it their all.

Finish

At the finish line, each participant will receive a medal and a small snack. We ask that you continue smoothly into the corridor after the finish line and not prevent other competitors from completing the race.


dm bambini run

What is dm bambini run?

dm bambini run is a race intended for the little ones. The race is run in three categories. Categories are divided by age and distance. The dm bambini run itself is a non-competitive run and is completely free.

How to register to dm bambini run

Anyone can sign up, even without a Runners ID – this means you don’t need to create a profile with all your information. All you have to do is meet the age of the child. You can register online or in person at our expo (note that the capacity of the plant fills up quickly).

It is not possible to participate in the race without a proper application and starting number.

You can pick up your starting number at our Expo, where numbers for race runs are picked up. You will be asked to present your ID card or other form of identification.

You will also receive a t-shirt with your starting number.

What distance is my child running?

You will receive this information when picking up your child’s race number. Children in all categories start from a distance corresponding to their age (see table below).

Parents may accompany their children to the start and, if they wish, run alongside them. If they choose not to run, they can follow the race route and meet their child at the finish line.

Starting corridors dm bambini run

The start takes place by category. First, the youngest 2-3 years start at 100m, then the 4-5 years at 150m and the last 6-7 years at 200m.

The start lines for all three categories will be published later and will be clearly marked with A-frame signs indicating the race distance and the participants’ age group.

There is a 5-minute interval between each start, so please be ready at the starting line in advance.

Finish

At the finish line, each participant will receive a chocolate medal.
