Warning about fraudulent overselling of registrations!
Warning to all those interested in participating in the Prague International Marathon 2026 in connection with the fraudulent resale of registrations! In view of the sold out Prague International Marathon 2026, fraudulent advertisements offering registration for the race are appearing more and more frequently. Please be cautious when purchasing registration from third parties.
- Check the profile of the person you’re communicating with to see if they look credible. Also, check the website information, photos and friends of the person you are dealing with.
- Always check their email addresses in a search engine.
- Scammers usually write the exact same message and comment under all posts.
- They usually don’t offer registrations with a price, they ask YOU how much you’re willing to pay.
- The scammers PRESSURE you to act immediately and pay the amount immediately.
- Often, fraudsters will ask you for a specific method of payment.
- Registration for the race does not take the form of a QR code.
