Course Overview

START – Old Town Square (0 km)
The historic heart of Prague provides a unique backdrop for the start of the marathon. Surrounded by Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque buildings, the square is one of the most important sites in Czech history and gives the race an unforgettable atmosphere every year.

Pařížská Street (0.4 km)
An elegant boulevard connecting the Old Town with the river, it is a symbol of luxury and prestige. Art Nouveau buildings, wide sidewalks, and storefronts of global brands create a striking contrast with the historic city center.

Chamber of Deputies (1.5 km)
The seat of the lower house of the Parliament of the Czech Republic highlights Prague’s role as the country’s political center. The surrounding historic buildings emphasize the continuity of state power.

Wallenstein Palace (1.7 km)
One of the most significant Baroque residences in Prague, now home to the Senate. Its extensive complex with gardens represents a masterpiece of early Baroque architecture in Bohemia.

Prague Castle (1.8 km)
The city’s dominant landmark and the largest castle complex in the world rises above the course. The view of it is one of the most iconic moments of the race and reflects over a thousand years of Czech history.

Charles Bridge (2.8 km)

Rudolfinum (3.8 km)
This Neo-Renaissance building on the banks of the Vltava is a center of musical life and home to the Czech Philharmonic. It combines architectural beauty with a rich cultural tradition.

Karlín – Lilith Sculpture (9.3 km)
The dynamically developing Karlín district represents the modern face of Prague. Its landmark is the monumental Lilith sculpture by David Černý, symbolizing the connection between contemporary art and architecture.

Old Town Square (12.7 km)
The route returns to the historic center, where runners are welcomed by familiar surroundings and strong spectator support. Passing through again enhances the unique character of the race.

Celetná Street (13 km)

Powder Tower (13.2 km) A monumental Gothic tower that once served as one of the city’s entrance gates. It remains a symbol of royal coronation processions.

Wenceslas Square (13.6 km)

National Theatre (14.5 km)
