Everyone who celebrates Valentine’s Day does so in their own way. Many choose to mark the occasion with sport—and the number of such “celebrants” continues to grow. Clear proof of this is the enormous interest in the Prague Airport Valentine’s Run 7K 2026. Registration for the race closed well ahead of the event once the maximum capacity was reached.
The Valentine’s Run will take place on February 14 and will officially open the new RunCzech season. The grounds of Výstaviště Praha and the adjacent Royal Game Reserve—better known as Stromovka Park—will welcome nearly 2,000 active runners. Due to participant limits within the natural park area, the organizers scheduled two consecutive starts (at 11:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.).
“Year-on-year participation has more than doubled, with runners representing a total of 47 nationalities,” said President of Organizational Committee Carlo Capalbo. “As in previous years, the title partner of the race is Prague Airport. Standard services for runners include chip timing embedded in the race bib and refreshments at the finish line.”
Every participant in the Valentine’s Run will also receive a goodie bag and a commemorative medal.
Running for Love—and for a Good Cause
The Prague Airport Valentine’s Run 7K 2026 will once again unite love with meaningful support. RunCzech has partnered again with the Pink Bubble Foundation, the event’s official charity. Pink Bubble supports young people whose lives have been complicated by cancer—whether they are currently undergoing demanding treatment or rebuilding their lives afterward.
RunCzech will donate 10% of each registration fee to the Pink Bubble Foundation.
A Scenic Course Through the Heart of Stromovka
The 7 km route runs almost entirely through the Royal Game Reserve. Starting at the Průmyslový palác (Industrial Palace), runners will head toward the Prague Planetarium, continuing along the main path between Rudolf’s Tunnel, Šlechtova Restaurant, and a series of picturesque ponds. Beneath the Governor’s Summerhouse, they will turn toward the railway line, passing underneath it four times. The race continues through the enchanting greenery of Stromovka Park, with the finish line once again set in front of the Industrial Palace.
Performance and finishing times are not the primary focus of the Valentine’s Run, but for context: last year’s fastest runner completed the 7 km distance in just over 23 minutes.
