Prague, the capital city of the Czech Republic, is often referred to as “The City of a Hundred Spires.“ It‘s a historical marvel that blends Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque architecture, making it a top destination for travellers from around the world. Here are the places you can see during the race to fully experience prague beauty and its historical depth.


START AND FINISH AREA: NÁMĚSTÍ REPUBLIKY – REVOLUČNÍ

  • Municipal House – the most important Art Nouveau building in Prague, the place where the independent Czechoslovak Republic was declared in 1918.
  • Powder Tower – a Gothic tower from the 15th century, one of the original gates to the Old Town.

5–6K – POBŘEŽNÍ AND ROHANSKÉ EMBANKMENTS

  • Karlín – a district transformed into a modern area with offices, cafés, and parks after the 2002 floods.
  • Lilith Statue – a sculpture by artist David Černý. A 24-meter polished steel structure symbolically holding the new Fragment building. After midnight, the statue turns its head 180 degrees.
  • Rohan Island – once a true island on the Vltava, now redeveloped into a modern embankment blending industrial elements with new architecture.

7–8K – Čech Bridge

  • Čech Bridge – the only Art Nouveau bridge in Prague, opened in 1908, decorated with bronze statues and ornaments.
  • Prague Castle (in the distance) – the largest castle complex in the world and the seat of the President of the Republic, beautifully illuminated at night.
  • Letná Park – a popular park above the Vltava offering views of the historic center. Its landmark is a gigantic metronome, symbolizing the unstoppable flow of time, and providing stunning views of historic Prague.
  • Holešovice – a former industrial neighborhood gradually transforming into a modern cultural and residential area.
  • Na Františku Hospital – in the heart of the historic center on the right bank of the Vltava, this unique hospital has been here since 1354.

9K – FINISH – ŠTEFÁNIK BRIDGE – BACK TO THE RIGHT BANK

Štefánik Bridge – named after Milan Rastislav Štefánik, a key figure in Czechoslovak history; it connects Letná with the Old Town.From here, you’ll enjoy a wonderful view of the Old Town panorama.
