During the weekend of 7th and 8th May, one of the most prestigious marathons in the world – The Volkswagen Prague Marathon – will be taking place in Prague. Each year runners and athletes flock to the city from all over the country and world to take part in this traditional running event. Since the race is held in the very heart of Prague, it is accompanied by a number of transport restrictions. We would like to apologize in advance for any caused transport complications and we hope that you enjoy the race along with us. Thank You!

Vehicles parked in the locations listed below will be towed away for safety reasons. Please park your vehicle somewhere else to avoid inconvenience with potential tow.

How to proceed in the case that your car is towed away
Contact the Municipal Police by calling 156. Then proceed in accordance with instructions given by the Prague Service Administration staff.
Transvere crossing
Crossing is possible only in special occasions and ONLY IF INSTRUCTED by State Policie in spaces between runners.

- crossing at the Široká intersection before 8:30 and after 16:00
Masarykovo nábřeží
- it is possible to cross from Resslova to Jiráskův most before 9:40 a.m. and after 11:40 a.m.
Národní
- can be crossed before 9:30 and after 11:40:

Complete street closures on Sunday May 8
Traffic will be managed by the Police of the Czech Republic in cooperation with the Prague Municipal Police. From 8:00 to 16:00, streets and intersections will be closed and opened along the race route. Outside this time, the normal traffic regime (exception is ul. Pařížská, Ovocný trh, Staroměstské náměstí, Ovocný trh and náměstí Republiky).
