On Saturday, 3 October, your city will once again transform into a vibrant centre of running. The ninth edition of the Mattoni Liberec Trail Run, held under the auspices of the Statutory City of Liberec, has become an integral part of the highlights of trail running in the Czech Republic. This year, too, we will welcome thousands of runners across all categories – from elite athletes to those who have come to fulfil their own personal dream.
Over the years of organising running events in the Czech Republic, I have come to realise one thing: the strength of a race is determined not only by the course, but above all by the people who surround it. And Liberec has an atmosphere that our international runners remember long after they return home. That is thanks to you.
Preparing the event will require necessary short-term traffic restrictions and road closures. I therefore kindly ask for your patience and understanding. Above all, I warmly invite you into the streets – come and cheer on the runners, soak up the atmosphere or enjoy performances by local bands. Your applause is the best fuel for every runner. We look forward to seeing you in Liberec.

TRAFFIC MEASURES DURING THE MATTONI LIBEREC TRAIL RUN 2026
All traffic restrictions apply to the Mattoni Liberec Trail Run, which includes the following races: Mattoni Liberec Trail Run 22 km, Trail Run 12 km and dm Family Mile Liberec.
And on Saturday, 3 October, along the race route on the following streets:
Access to and exit from the Zoo car park (tram terminus) via Lidové sady will be without restrictions. More information at www.zooliberec.cz
Information about public transport changes will be available at www.dpmlj.cz and www.runczech.com. Information will also be provided at the affected public transport stops.
Alternative parking areas for holders of resident and subscriber parking permits will be indicated by traffic signs installed 7 days before the event. This applies to the following locations: Sokolovské náměstí and Kostelní ulice.
Residents of Mozartova Street will receive detailed information about alternative parking in their mailboxes.
