Ballot rules – Generali Prague Half Marathon 2027

1. General Provisions

1.1 For events with limited capacity, the Organizer may use a registration system based on a random selection (ballot).

1.2 At present, the random selection (ballot) registration system applies to the Generali Prague Half Marathon. Information on events for which registration is conducted through a random selection (ballot) is always published on the Organizer’s website.

1.3 The Organizer reserves the right to allocate a portion of the event capacity to other registration programmes, including, but not limited to, charity programmes, commercial partners, tour operators, elite athletes, loyalty programmes, or other programmes operated by the Organizer. Entries allocated through these programmes are not included in the random selection (ballot).

2. Application

2.1 Applications for the random selection (ballot) must be submitted exclusively online via the application form published on the Organizer’s website or through other communication channels of the Organizer (including newsletters and social media).

2.2 The application period opens on 21 July 2026 and closes on 11 August 2026. The application period closes on 11 August 2026 at 23:59:59 Central European Summer Time (CEST).

2.3 Submission of an application does not guarantee participation in the event and does not create any contractual relationship with the Organizer.

2.4 An application may be submitted for one participant or jointly for two participants. In the case of a joint application, both participants are treated as a single application and the outcome of the random selection (ballot) applies to both participants. If the application is successful, both participants will be entitled to complete their registration. If the application is unsuccessful, neither participant will be selected.

2.5 Each individual may appear in only one application, either as an individual applicant or as part of a joint application. The Organizer reserves the right to reject duplicate or manifestly fraudulent applications. If the same individual is identified in more than one application, the Organizer may retain only the first validly submitted application and reject all subsequent applications.

3. Random Selection (Ballot)

3.1 Following the close of the application period, the Organizer will conduct the random selection (ballot) no later than 10 days after the application deadline, i.e. no later than 21 August 2026. The random selection (ballot) will be conducted from all valid applications that meet the requirements set out in these Rules.

3.2 The Organizer’s decision regarding the outcome of the random selection (ballot) is final and not subject to appeal.

4. Notification of Results

4.1 Participants selected through the random selection (ballot) will receive an email notification confirming their successful selection, together with a registration code and instructions on how to complete their registration.

4.2 Participants who are not selected in a given round of the random selection (ballot) will be notified accordingly by email. The Organizer may also offer such participants alternative ways of obtaining entry, including charity programmes, tour operators, or registration for other events organised by the Organizer.

5. Completion of Registration

5.1 Being selected through the random selection (ballot) does not in itself constitute entry into the event.

5.2 Selected participants must complete their registration and pay the registration fee within 7 calendar days of receiving the email containing their registration code and registration instructions, unless otherwise specified by the Organizer in that email.

5.3 The registration code issued to a selected applicant is non-transferable and may only be used to complete the registration of the individual(s) named in the ballot application. The Organizer reserves the right to refuse or cancel a registration if it determines that the registration code has been used in breach of this provision.

5.4 If a selected participant fails to complete the registration process or pay the registration fee within the specified period, their right to register shall automatically lapse without compensation.

5.5 Registration places that become available may be offered to participants in subsequent rounds of the random selection (ballot) or allocated through other registration programmes referred to in Section 1.3 of these Rules.

6. Final Provisions

6.1 Upon successful completion of registration, these Binding Race Rules, the Organizer’s General Terms and Conditions, and any additional conditions applicable to the relevant event shall apply to the participant.

6.2 Personal data provided in connection with an application for the random selection (ballot) are processed in accordance with the Organizer’s Privacy Policy. Information regarding the scope, purpose, and duration of the processing of personal data is available in the Organizer’s GDPR Policy published on the Organizer’s website.

6.3 The Organizer reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or amend the random selection (ballot) in the event of exceptional circumstances, technical issues, or other serious reasons beyond the Organizer’s reasonable control. Any such changes will be published on the Organizer’s website without undue delay.
