The Union of Physical Education Organizations of the Police of the Czech Republic, the Sports Association of Police Officers and Firefighters, z.s. (UNITOP CR), on behalf of the European Police Sports Union (USPE), is organizing the “European Police Marathon Championship” in Prague from May 1–4, 2026. The race itself will take place on May 3, 2026, as part of the Prague International Marathon 2026, starting at 8:00 a.m.

The championship will feature 190 runners from 22 European countries. National police teams are registered (with a maximum of 6 men and 6 women per team) from Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Estonia, France, Croatia, Ireland, Cyprus, Luxembourg, Hungary, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Austria, Greece, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom, including the Police of the Czech Republic team.

This is a significant international sporting and social event, under the patronage of both the Police President and the Minister of the Interior.

SATURDAY, May 2, 2026

  • 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. – Marathon Expo (Výstaviště Holešovice, Křižík Pavilions)

SUNDAY, May 3, 2026

  • 6:00 a.m. – Opening of Technical Area
  • 7:00 a.m. – Start of Day Program (Old Town Square)
  • 7:30 a.m. – Opening of Start Corridors
  • 8:00 a.m. – Start of Prague International Marathon 2026 (Old Town Square)
  • 10:25 a.m. – 12:20 p.m. – Official Award Ceremony (Old Town Square)
  • 3:00 p.m. – Last Runner Finishes (Old Town Square)
