Sport, health, and solidarity — running together
Running Doctors is a unique initiative developed for the RunCzech race series, designed to bring medical expertise directly into the heart of each event.
Throughout the entire RunCzech season, at every race, participants will encounter a new and dedicated presence along the course: the Running Doctors.
Each Running Doctor will receive a complimentary race registration and a race T-shirt from RunCzech.
For big races such as a marathon, there will be a maximum of eight running doctors. This means that for smaller races, such as 5 km or 10 km events, the number of running doctors will be adjusted accordingly. The running doctors will be positioned along the course according to their running paces, ensuring they are spread out throughout the entire course.
This on-course presence strengthens the existing medical and safety system, offering runners an additional level of care and reassurance during the race.
Running Doctors is a concrete expression of attention to runner health and safety.
It transforms a shared passion for running into an act of responsibility, solidarity, and service.
The project highlights the importance of:

Running Doctors are qualified medical professionals who are also runners.
By combining their clinical expertise with firsthand race experience, they can act quickly, calmly, and effectively in real race conditions.
Becoming a Running Doctor means experiencing the event as a true protagonist — putting professional skills at the service of others and embodying the core values of sport: commitment, altruism, and team spirit.
Running Doctors is not just a safety service.
It is a symbol of care in motion — where every step represents trust, responsibility, and human connection.
Every intervention, every grateful glance, and every kilometer shared tells the story of a community that believes in the value of life, prevention, and mutual support.
Thanks to its originality and strong human value, the Running Doctors project enjoys significant media visibility and has the potential to inspire other medical professionals, runners, and event organizers to adopt similar initiatives.
Running Doctors is a new way of being present, useful, and part of something greater — running together, when it truly matters.
