Attention runners. scammers and fraud warning disclaimer! Due to the current situation, please be aware that certain individuals might approach you, by falsely presenting themselves as our representatives or runners. Under this false pretence, they might try to acquire money by offering fictitious registrations for the Prague Half Marathon. Please, be aware and always check the profile of the person you are dealing with.
- Check the profile of the person you are communicating with to see if they look credible. Further, check the page information, photos and friends of the person you are dealing with.
- The scammers usually are writing the same exact message and comment under all posts.
- the scammers PRESSURE you to act immediately and they always find excuses if you start asking too many questions.
- Scammers tell you to PAY in a specific way.
- Always check their emails in google search, there are plenty of pages where you can find the list of scammers.
- Usually they don't offer registrations with price, they ask YOU how much you are ready to pay.
- They offer you QR codes - RunCzech does not sell registrations with QRs.
