Before the race

RunCzech App

With the RunCzech App you can easily pick up your start number and learn important race information. It will also serve as a public transport ticket.

   

Start number and start package pick up

The start number and package can be picked up only in person during the opening hours of the Running Expo at House of culture Ústí nad Labem. If you can’t pick up your start number in person, you can use Authorization to start number collection on our website.

The start number and the race package can also be picked up during the one-day expo at Running Mall on Wednesday, September 16, from 10 am to 6 pm.

Chip and timekeeping

Your start number must be fixed visibly on your chest.

Safety-pins will be included in the envelope containing your start number.

Timekeeping will be tracked through chips, which are attached to the back of the start number, and which must not be removed at any time during the race. NO CHIP = NO TIME! Chips are disposable.

Time limit

Time limit is 3 hours from the start of the race (starting signal). The limit time is listed for each kilometer in the map of the race. All runners behind this time must leave the course and end their participation in the race for safety reasons.

General rules

It is strictly forbidden to use any means of transport, or to go on the course with a child’s pram, run with dogs or carry children. Participation in the race is at participants’ own risk.

Health condition

Take part in the race only in excellent health and after adequate preparation. We recommend that you undergo a specialist check-up and pay close attention to your current state of health.

How to get to the start?

The start for all of the races is on the Mírové Square in the city center, and therefore easily accessible by foot. There will be traffic restrictions on the race day. Your start number is your ticket for public transport on race day (from 9 am to 9 pm). For more information visit our web.

Technical area - service for runners

Changing room, bag deposit, toilets - all this can be found in the technical in the Atrium of Municipality between Lidické and Mírové Square. The medal engraving will be placed at Mírové Square. For hygienic reasons, showers, massages and taping will not be available.

Entry is only possible for participants with a start number and will be checked. Open from 1 pm to 7 pm.

Bag deposit

Open from 1 pm until 6:30 pm in the technical area. Hand over your belongings to a volunteer standing at the appropriate box corresponding to the last two digits of your bib number. Maximum accepted size of bags 25×45×70 cm. Larger luggage cannot be accepted for capacity and safety reasons.

Start corridor

The division into corridors is determined by the expected time in registration and the timeliness of your registration. Your corridor is according to “group” on your start number. 

Corridors are open from 2:30 pm. Entrance to the corridors is available only for runners with the start number.

Pacemakers

Are clearly visible according to the goal finish times: 1:30, 1:40, 1:50, 2:00, 2:10, 2:30. You can find them in each corridor.

Refreshment points

Will be located at the 4,8th, 10,1th, 15,1th km marks and in the finish. Mattoni water, isotonic Gatorade drink and fruit in the finish will be available.

Please, throw all the waste in the marked places and directly into containers. This ensures efficient recycling.

Running tips

If you are running a half marathon for the first time, you can read running tips on appropriate clothing, drinks and nutrition on the day of the race on our website in the First-timers section.

Medical service

Will be available at the start, the finish, in the technical area and along the course. If you need to call an ambulance, ask a volunteer or call the emergency services on number 155 and tell them your start number.

If you are not feeling well or have recently been ill it’s best to not take part in the race. You are entering the race at your own risk. 

Along the course there will be several medical points and ambulance points. Also, there will be mobile bike groups with AED.

On the back of your number fill in all important information about your state of health for the case of medical assistance.

Toilets

Are placed at every refreshment point, in the technical area and in the start/finish area.

Refreshing points

Will be located at 7th; 12,5th and 18,1th km marks. There will be Mattoni water / salt / sugar available. Please, throw all the waste in the marked places and directly into containers. This ensures efficient recycling.

For hygienic reasons there will be no sponges at this race.

After the race

Result service

Results will be published after the race as soon as possible. The ranking is done according to the official time which is counted from the start of the race.

You can contact us if there is a mistake in your result within 5 working days after the race. Don’t forget to provide the name of the race, your start number and as many details as possible.

Finish photographs

Order your photographs online at www.marathon-photos.com.. Available approximately 3 days after the race.

Information for relays and 2Run

Start

The Mattoni Ústí nad Labem Half Marathon – relay race and the race 2Run start at the same time as the runners in the main race, i.e. at 3 pm. The start is on the Mírové Square.

Relay Baton

The relay baton = team band which individual relay members hand over to one another at the change-over points. The first relay member finds this team band in his/her envelope and mustn’t forget to take this band along with him/her to the start line. NO RELAY BATON = NO TIME!

There will be a special corridor towards the front of the line-up area, indicated with the letter on your start number. Corridors are open from  2:30 pm

2nd – 4th Members of the Relay Team

The corridor is located before the carpet (which records your time) in the direction of the race.

The 3 Most Important Rules that you must Follow

1) Team members are not allowed to swap start numbers. 

2) Under no circumstances it is allowed to change the order of the runners on the individual legs. You must run in the order that your names are listed on the application form.

3) The first relay member must not forget to bring along the relay baton which is made using a team start number on the belt. 

NO RELAY BATON = NO TIME!

Transport to the Changeover Points

to 1st and 2nd changeover – Individually or by foot.

to the 2nd changeover (10 km) and 3rd changeover (15 km) a bus will come right opposite to the Expo exit at 2:15 pm. The bus departure time is 2:35 pm. The bus will stay on the change-overs and after the last runner runs out from each change-over, it will take runners back to the city center.

PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO THE GRAPHICAL ILLUSTRATION OF THE CHANGEOVERS!

Wait for your team-mate (A) in the corridor at the changeover in front of the carpet that measures your time. As soon as you (B) see your team-mate, run together towards the carpet. BOTH OF YOU (A+B) MUST RUN OVER THE TIMEKEEPING CARPET AT THE SAME TIME. This carpet is laid on the ground and is black. The incoming runner (A) finishes in the area beyond the carpet, you continue on to the next changeover or to the finish line.

Changeover Points

1st changeover (5 km) – street U Nádraží, at the bus stop Hlavní nádraží; 2nd changeover (10 km)  – crossroads Tovární street and Na Luhách street; 3rd changeover (15 km) – Děčínská street at the bus stop Loděnice.
