Traffic info

The Mattoni České Budějovice Half Marathon will run in our city for the tenth time. On Saturday, 4 June, 2022, České Budějovice Street will be transformed into a running track with thousands of runners. Family teams, relay pairs or individuals will once again compare their strengths with rivals, but above all with themselves. With his will, condition and perseverance. But one thing is certain. A medal awaits each runner at the finish. This year will be accompanied by the necessary traffic restrictions. It is in the interest of the safety of runners, cheering spectators, but also to ensure the flow of traffic. Please understand with understanding some of the necessary restrictions on the day of the race. At the same time, we would like to invite you to the streets, come and cheer on the runners.

Full closure including no stopping (parking)

Valid throughout the race route from 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm (in the family run route from 4 pm). The times below are approximate, the organizer will make every effort to adhere to the times listed below. Street:

  • Husova (in the section Česká a Resslova): 5:30 pm – 10 pm
  • Husova (Dlouhý most to Resslovu street): 5:30 pm – 9 pm
  • F. A. Gerstnera (in the section U Zimního stadionu – Zátkovo nábřeží):  4 pm – 9 pm
  • Generála Píky (entry / exit from / to shopping centers is allowed throughout the race): 5:30 pm – 10:30 pm
  • Jiráskovo nábř.: 5:30 pm – 8 pm
  • Karla IV.: 4 pm – 10:30 pm
  • Krajinská: 4 pm – 10:30 pm
  • Lidická třída (in the section Mánesova – Žižkova třída): 4 pm – 9 pm 
  • Na Sadech (in the section Mariánské nám. – Žižkova třída): 4 pm – 10:30 pm
  • Nádražní (in the section Rudolfovská – Generála Píky): 5:30 pm – 10:30 pm
  • Nám. Přemysla Otakara II. (from 18 pm 3 June 2022 the southern part of the square will be closed due to preparatory work): 10 am – 12 am (midnight)

  • Sokolský ostrov (unrestricted exit from the swimming pool): 5:30 pm – 9:00 pm

  • U Zimního stadionu: 4 pm - 9 pm
  • Vodní (in the section Generála Píky – Rudolfovská): 5:30 pm – 10:00 pm
  • Žižkova třída (Karla IV. to Senovážné náměstí): 4 pm – 10:30 pm

Stop bans will apply in these locations from 10 am, with the exception of square Přemysl Otakar II., Where the ban on stopping will apply from 3 June 2022 from 6 pm, and partly from 12 pm (noon) due to preparatory work. The transport company will serve the citizens on the race track until about 4.30 pm, after which the public transport will switch to the exclusion mode.

Public transport exclusion

On Saturday, 4 June, 2022, in connection with the organization of the Mattoni České Budějovice Half Marathon, public transport will be excluded in the city center and its surroundings from 4.30 pm to 10.30 pm. During this period, the following stops will be temporarily canceled:

Possibilities of entry and exit from limited areas

• A0 – arrival and departure by underpass under street Strakonická from Sconta volný throughout the closing period

• A1 – exit possible all the time across the street Plzeňská around Penny

• A2 – after 8 pm exit the street Průběžná

• A1 + A2 – after 8 pm arrival possible by street Plzeňská od Strakonické and further down the street Průběžná and Čéčova

• A3 – entry possible to 5:30 pm; 8 pm – 10:30 pm entry and exit via Jiráskovo nábřeží, then without restrictions

• A4 – entry and exit are restricted 5:30 pm – 10:30 pm

• A5 – closed for entry and exit from 5:30 pm to 9 pm, outside this time period the entrance through Českou and Husovu třídu

• B – entry and exit throughout the race without restrictions across the street Jírovcova and Nádražní

• C – entry and exit without restrictions via level crossing and street Okružní

• D – traffic restrictions 4 pm – 10:30 pm (with the exception of the square Přemysla Otakara II.), then enter and exit through the streets Česká, U Černé věže, Biskupská – F. A. Gerstnera

• E – traffic restrictions 4 pm – 9 pm

• F – in the streets Štítného and Chelčického (section Lannova třída – Rudolfovská třida) two-way traffic allowed, exit from the streets in time 5:30 pm – 10:30 pm across the street Dvořákova. Allowed entry and exit to the street Jeronýmova (section Žižkova třída – Lannova třída).
