Doctors Without Borders / Medecins Sans Frontieres is an international, independent, medical humanitarian organization that delivers the emergency aid to people affected by armed conflicts, epidemics, natural disasters, and who are excluded from healthcare. MSF was founded in Paris, France, in 1971 and has since evolved into a worldwide movement of 23 associations and several branch offices. Annually leave on a mission more than 2,500 medical and non-medical professionals, among them are several colleagues from the Czech Republic and Slovakia. In 1999, the organization was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

Our donors are a vital part of the movement - your generosity and support helps fund everything we do, with 90 percent of our income coming from individual donations. This allows us to stay independent, neutral and impartial - and to access those in greatest need quickly.
