Our children`s home is funded by Prague city. We have 9 family groups and our capacity is 65 children (40 children in the castle and 25 children in flats .)
We give children complet care. We try prepare them for life and also make for them an unforgettable experience.
5 family groups are in Castle at Dolní Počernice and 4 family groups are in flats in Černý Most.
In family group live 6-8 children and take turns 4 educators here. Family group shop,cook, iron,clean up etc. themselves. System is same as in normal family as much as possible.
The children´s home has three main directions:
- effort children return to family
- Help children to enjoy more pleasantly childhood
- Give children the best trainig for theyown life
We have starting flats for children, who finnished education We have training flats too. Children get training payment at the bigining of the month. They pay a rent in the middle of the month.Another things they make themselves, but they are still component of family group, they make plans together with group.
We co-organized Dětský domov Cup ( cup of Children´s home ). It is the competition of many sports industry, we organized public running and pétanque competition, we make arts and music activities.
More then 70% of children come to children´s home after age 10 years old.109 children left our children´s home during the last ten yeras.From this number went 34 children back to their family,16 children went to education institutions,24 children went to foster – father family, 3 children went to another children´s home and 32 children started live theit own life. We have 55% succes of good children´s inclusion to society.
But we want life as other children- we want go to the cinema, we wnat enjoy etc.
