The Salvation Army is the main charity partner of Sportisimo Prague Half Marathon!
The Salvation Army provides basic help to those who find themselves in difficult life circumstances associated with losing their home. The Czech organisation focuses on the following five areas: a youth centre, care for senior citizens, asylum homes and dormitories for single mothers and children, men, other community centres and a prison service. Over 50 centres provide social services across 30 different projects. The organisation provides more than 1200 beds each day and 1500 portions of warm food.
The Salvation Army was set up in 1865 by Methodist preacher, William Booth and currently operates in 127 countries.
The 532 runners ran with us last year. Than contributed 15 127 E. Thank you for your support.
