Volkswagen Prague Marathon
It is strictly forbidden to use roller-skates, bicycles or other means of transport, to go on the course with a child’s pram, run with dogs or carry children. Participation in the race is at participants’ own risk. Time limit is 7 hours from start. The limit time is listed for each kilometer in the map of the race. All runners behind this time must leave the course and finish their participation in the race for safety reasons.
Chip and Timekeeping
Timekeeping will be tracked through chips, which will be attached to the back of the start number, and which must not be removed at any time during the race.
Remember – NO CHIP = NO TIME!
Your start number must be fixed visibly on your chest. Safety-pins will be included in the envelope containing your start number. Chips are disposable.
You don’t need to return them.
Marathon Mass will be celebrated at the Church sv. Kříže (Nové Město, Na Příkopě 856/16) on Sunday May 7 at 7:30 a.m.
Public Transport, P+R Car Parks
Please use the metro on the race day when travelling to and from the start area – Můstek station (A and B Line), Muzeum (C and A line). Cars should be parked at P+R car parks. More information on www.dpp.cz (public transport). Your start number or start number in the mobile application with you ID card serves as a free ticket in public transport on saturday 5. 5. from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and
on sunday 6. 5. From 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Technical Area (map no. 2 and 3)
Placed on Wenceslav Square. Entry only with a start number. Open from 7:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. There are toilets, changing rooms, bag deposit, HansGrohe shower track, massages and after the race medal engraving, taping and medical service.
Open from 7:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Hand over your belongings to a volunteer standing at the appropriate box corresponding to the last two digits of your bib number. Only bags with handle and max size 25 x 35 x 50 cm will be accepted. We recommend to use the official race sack which you got in the Expo.
How to get to the Start and your Corridor (map no. 2)
Corridors are open from 8 a.m. Your corridor is according to “group” on your start number. Entrance only for runners.
Are clearly visible according to times 3:15; 3:30; 3:45; 4:00; 4:15; 4:30; 5:00. You can find them in each corridor.
Will be located at the 6,3; 10,4; 15,9; 21; 26,2; 30,5; 35,5; 39,7 km and in the finish. MATTONI WATER / GATORADE ISOTONIC DRINK / FRUITS from KAUFLAND / VOLKSWAGEN WATER SPONGES.
Refreshing / Sponge Points
Will be located at the 8,6; 13,6; 18,1; 23,7; 29; 32,8; 37,8 km marks on right side. MATTONI WATER AND VOLKSWAGEN WATER SPONGES / 8,3; 37,7 km Birell shower
Are placed at every refreshment point, technical area,at the start and finish.
Will be available at the start, the finish, technical area and along the course. If you need to call an ambulance, ask a volunteer or call the emergency services on number 155 and tell them your starting
number. If you are not feeling well or have recently been ill it’s best to not take part in the race. There will be more than 30 medical points, 4 mobile teams with AED and ambulance points along the course.

INFORMATION FOR 2RUN
The Volkswagen Prague Marathon – 2Run starts at the same time as the runners in the main race, i.e. at 9 a.m.
Relay Baton = a chip on a belt
The relay baton = a chip on a belt which measures your time and which individual relay members hand over to one another at the change-over points. The first relay member receives the baton in his/her envelope with start number and mustn’t forget to take this baton along with him/her to the start line.
NO RELAY BATON = NO TIME!

Transport to the Changeover Points
Changeover – by bus, meeting 20 minutes before departure on the car park by Muzeum metro station (opposite the new building for the National Museum), departure at 9:00, 9:15 and 9:30. There is
a possibility to get back by bus at 11:00 and 11:45.
