One of the biggest novelties of the 2018 edition is the introduction of a new race. The very first Napoli 5 km Grand Prix will start at 8:55 a.m. from viale Kennedy. The race will be open only to professional world-class athletes and the best U23 Italian athletes from Campania.
This ‘invitation only’, adrenaline-laced race has also the possibility of becoming globally significant following the International Association of Athletics Federations’ decision of allowing 5 km races to be eligible for world records.
