Coast to Coast Sorrento-Positano – another RunCzech race organized in the South of Italy
This Sunday, December 3rd, RunCzech will stage another race this time organized in the South of Italy on the astonishing Amalfi Coast.
Coast to Coast Sorrento-Positano is a mix of a challenge and a pure beauty. The runners will have an opportunity to choose between two races – Ultra Marathon 54 km starting at 7 am and Panoramic 28 km starting at 9 am. A shorter non-competitive distance Family Run& Friends will be also offered.
The event is a part of the Napoli Running project dedicated to encouraging a healthy lifestile and promoting running and tourism in the beautiful Metropolitan area of Naples. It was founded by Carlo Capalbo and the local organizers to bring the Napoli City Half Marathon and Coast to Coast Sorrento - Positano events under the same umbrella. Besides these two events Napoli Running, led by the President of the RunCzech Organizing Committee and IAAF Road Running Commission Chairman, Carlo Capalbo, is also planning to bring about the rebirth of the Napoli Marathon 2019.
The courses of both races are extremely scenic and will allow participants from 21 countries to discover this unique and astonishing area. Starting in Sorrento they will lead the runners along the coast, with a breath-taking view on the sea and the rocks, through Massa Lubrense, Sant'Agata, Sant'Angelo and Positano, finishing again in Sorrento.
